CA ACADEMY

The CA Academy is the pedagogy arm of Circular Asia that supports the education needed for a circular economy. The priority of the CA Academy is to raise awareness and provide training for the various sectors of the Asian economy to promote the concept, benefits, principles and practices of the circular economy.

[PLAY]NETARIUM

The Circular Asia [Play]Netarium is a platform that uses enriching gameplay experiences to communicate how and why the circular economy and sustainable development are key to our economic development. The [Play]Netarium takes abstract circular economy concepts into relatable, real-world scenarios where players can make concrete decisions towards their personal achievements and the sustainability of the world.

The concepts behind the circular economy are best internalised by putting them into practice. The gamified experiences at [Play]Netarium will give participants the opportunity to co-operate, strategise and play a part in creating a circular economy through their individual choices.

> Simulations of the Real World

[Play]Netarium’s games provide a simulation that closely mimics real life. Each game allows players to role-play as various entities – including corporations – and provides them with opportunities to make choices and play in a safe and inviting environment.

> The Sustainable & Circular Strategies

Through the gamified experiences, players will learn and understand why circularity can help them achieve economic wealth whilst staying sustainable. It is through strategizing during the games that players will learn the appropriate sustainable and circular strategies that they can bring to the real world.

Future 2030 is a card-based simulation role-playing game where players role-play as individual entities trying to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030. Players will use their various resources to work on projects that will advance them towards their individual aspirations. But each action they take will affect the world, changing the economy, the environment and the society.

Will the players be able to ensure victory for every player – and the world? Or will some people get left behind in this race for a sustainable future?

Think Global is a tabletop game based on the sustainable development goals, to help people understand their role in the future of the planet as individuals, team players, and most importantly, as responsible global citizens.

G.C.E is a board game about the circular economy, sustainability and the rethinking of traditional processes. In the game, players will carefully manage resources, exercise effective and responsible decision-making, manage their finances, and reconsider, redesign and reevaluate processes as they role-play as a business owner aiming to have the most money and assets at the end of the game.

G.C.E game is a business simulation game that opens its players’ eyes to the possibilities of a different business model – one that is not only focused on profit, but also on adopting environmentally sustainable practices.

SDGeeks is a game designed to get people talking about serious topics in a fun way. It is grounded in the belief that successful development requires questioning, discussing, and improving our ideas, rather than finding the "right" answer.

Biome-diversity is a programme that raises awareness for Goals 14 and 15 of the UNSDGs - Life Under Water and Life on Land. Participants are given a chance to “rebuild a world” that has been left in desolation due to the effects of climate change.

Participants are challenged to integrate diverse biomes to their “redesigned planet earth”. From lush rainforests to vast deserts, strategically manage ecosystems, balance species, and thwart threats to create a thriving planet. Who will create the best and most liveable planet?

Circular Asia’s Engagement Trails will bring participants out into various places to learn more about sustainability in the region. The Experiential Trail at the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre (HYC) blends eco-environmental and sustainable practices, the trail encourages people to actively support conservation activities. Through carefully curated activities, participants are equipped to be catalysts of environmental transformation, fostering a dynamic movement towards sustainability and positive social change. The program not only engages team players but also nurtures the development of the next generation of leaders, instilling knowledge and a drive to contribute to a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible world.

 

EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOPS

Circular Asia’s Experiential Workshops provide participants with the opportunity to take action for a circular economy. Through simple acts such as upcycling used items, consciously recycling correctly and making sustainable choices, participants are better able to understand how they can contribute to impacting and creating a circular economy.

THE CIRCULARITY UTILISATION SCAN

The Circular Utilisation Scan is a measuring tool which reveals and analyse the current approaches, the circularity processes as well as the extent to which an organisation has achieved circularity. The analysis provides strategies formulation and recommendation for acceleration towards the circular economy.
